Linguistic Features: The words are arranged in the shape of a wine glass. The letters of the words are jumbled up a little bit to stimulate how drunk people would see them, blurry and jumbled. At the bottom of the glass the base reads don't drink and drive, the main message the poster wants to send.
Textual Features: As the readers glance goes down the words start to gradually get smaller making it harder to make out what they say or mean.

Layout: The background of the poster is plain black such that reader will focus his/her attention to the huge wineglass placed in the middle to increase the awareness for it. The fact that the letters are arranged in the shape of a wine glass allows readers to make the assumption that the poster is about drinking and the jumbled up letters depicts the blurry vision of a drunk. At the bottom of the poster the words " don't drink and drive" are in a different colour in order to grab the attention of the reader.

Purpose: The purpose of this poster is to dissuade readers from driving drunk and to create an awareness that your state of mental health could be what your life depends on.
Audience: Drink- drivers & potential drunk-drivers
Context: Drinking is okay to a certain extent and drink-driving however is wrong on all levels and therefore must be discouraged and stopped in order for our world to stay safe.
Culture: Many people drink when they are feeling sad or depressed, when they are overly stressed, as a celebration gesture and because of peer pressure.
